Upon arrival at Rovaniemi airport or train station, you will be transferred to Apukka resort for check-in and some time at leisure.

Wake to your first full day in Lapland, where snow-covered forests glow softly under the Arctic sky. After breakfast, bundle up for one of the most magical experiences of the expedition.

Travel by reindeer through the snowy wilderness! Wrapped in warm blankets, glide quietly through the forest trails before arriving at Santa’s hidden cabin deep in the Arctic woods.

Here, your family will enjoy a private and heartwarming visit with Santa himself. Bake gingerbread cookies together, craft your own Christmas card, and learn the art of moving through the snow just like one of Santa’s elves. It’s a beautifully immersive experience that feels straight out of a storybook.

For those up for the fun, we’ll host a friendly family snowman-building contest in the snow at our resort. Get creative, embrace the cold, and see which family can craft the most impressive Frosty! Prizes & bragging rights included!

Head out on a guided family snowmobiling adventure, designed especially for families to explore Lapland’s pristine winter landscapes together. Glide across frozen lakes and weave through snow-covered forests, feeling the crisp air on your face as you journey deeper into the white silence of the north.

Later, slow the pace and embrace a traditional Finnish winter pastime with ice fishing. Learn how to drill through thick Arctic ice, drop your line into the still waters below, and discover the quiet patience that defines life in Lapland’s winter months. It’s a beautiful way to connect with nature and maybe even catch your own dinner!

After breakfast, we head to the iconic Santa Claus Village, located right on the Arctic Circle. Cross the famous Arctic Circle line, explore the charming festive village, and enjoy free time to experience it your way.

Visit Santa again for another magical moment, send postcards home from the official Santa Claus Post Office, browse the cosy Christmas shops, or opt for additional experiences such as a thrilling husky ride through the snowy forest. This is a relaxed and joyful day to soak up the magic at your own pace.

Return to our resort in the late afternoon to warm up and unwind before gathering for another cosy dinner with the group.

After dinner, climb aboard a Snowtrain to the Northern Lights Camp and journey deep into the Arctic wilderness beneath the stars. Surrounded by silent snow-covered forests, gather around a crackling campfire with warm drinks in hand as you wait for the sky to come alive.

If conditions are right, watch as ribbons of green light dance overhead, a breathtaking natural spectacle and the perfect finale to your Arctic adventure.

Enjoy one final breakfast together as we say our farewells, reminiscing on the unforgettable moments shared in the Arctic.

At the appropriate time, you’ll be collected for your private transfer to the airport, ensuring a smooth and relaxed departure from Lapland.
